Rose Butterfly Bath Bomb – Lush Review

I have been finding recently that a lot of the Lush bath bombs I have been using seen really weak in scent. I’m not sure if it because I am getting so use to the smell of Lush or if the bath bombs are actually weaker than they use to be. Over the last few days I have been using lots of the new Mother’s Day products and am really happy to find that the scents seem to be so much stronger and I have been able to pick up on the scent a lot longer than I normally would do when they are in the water.

One product that I have really been enjoying the scent of is the Rose butterfly. I really love that in this years Mother’s Day Range (2019) there is lots of new scents and scents that we don’t see very often in Lush products.

As I am not a huge rose of floral fan I was so happy to discover that although named Rose Butterfly this bath bomb isn’t really floral or rose scented at all. The inclusion of lemon oil really alters the aroma of the rose oil and creates the most magical scent that is sweet creamy and only very slightly floral. The Rose butterfly is beyond beautiful and I would love to see the scent pop up in a few more lush products.

In the Mother’s Day Range more than one product seems to share the same design this year. There are three bath bombs shaped as butterfly’s just with different colours and scents. The design of these butterfly bath bombs are wonderful and so pretty. Each has a marbled colour effect with the rose butterfly being a mixture of blue and pink.

Once in the water the Rose butterfly slowly fizzes to create a stunning foam which spills across the water. As the butterfly flys calmly around the water it creates spirals of pink and blue in its wake which creates the most magical bath art. Although not a long fizzer once it has fully dissolved you are left with a very sparkly deep purple water with a scent that is both comforting and calming.

Overall the Rose Butterfly is wonderful. I am loving trying beautiful new scents in this range that I have not tried before and love how pretty the Rose butterfly looks both in and out of the water.
