Aubergine Bath Bomb – Lush Review

I had a bit of a tough time trying to decide which 2019 Valentine’s Day product to try out first! I ended up going for the Aubergine Bath Bomb as it shares one of my all time favourite scents (more about that in a moment).

This years Valentine’s Day Range is a little different to previous years with the majority of the products playing heavily on inuendos and possibly looking like something other than what they are meant to be, but il leave that one up to you to decide. And for those who shop a Lush who are way to young for things like that, the range is also heavily emoji based which of course everyone loves at the moment 🍆

The Auberinge Bath Bomb is a beautiful shade of purple, which got me very excited as I new it would it was going to turn the bath water a very lovely colour. The design is also of course genius!!! And is super eye catching in the store.

Now my favourite part about this bath bomb is the scent!!! The Aubergine Bath Bomb shares its scent with the much loved 29 High Street aroma. The 29 High Street scent is quite a difficult one to describe. The scent is inspired by that smell you get when you walk into a Lush store and all the different scents hit you all at once. Although a very complex scent the main noticeable ingredients in this bath bomb are Tonka, bergamot and ho wood oil which give the bath bomb its sweet, uplifting, floral and slightly woody scent. This Bath Bomb scent however is quite subtle and once in the water is defiantly not overpowering!

Once in the water the Aubergine Bath Bomb is a very quick fizzer. As it fizzes away it creates waves of purple, green and blue foam. Although it doesn’t take long for this one to totally dissolve it does create the most beautiful display in the water. This bath bomb also turns the water a stunning shade of purple and is surprising very very glittery!! I did come out of my bath sparkling quite a lot.

Overall I really love this bath bomb, it refreshing to a have a product in a scent we don’t see very often and a bonus that the scents just happens to be one of my all time favourites.

The way this bath bomb leaves the water is gorgeous! Purple and green are both such lovely colours and work so well together!

However when I smelt this in store it just didn’t do anything mind blowing for me! The guy who was showing us around the Valentine’s Day range said it smells of parma violets, but I didn’t get that from it either!

If I’d have liked the scent (or even smelt anything…) I would have definitely bought it! 😛
