The furze scent is a very different scent and one I feel might not be every bodies cup of tea. However it is a scent that I fell in love with when first tried the furze perfume. Since then I have adored this scent and made it my mission to get my hands on any products that shared its scent.
The furze bath oil is currently an Oxford street store exclusive product. Bath oils are a relatively new invention from lush and are a reformulation of the bath melt idea. Bath oils are very simple to use. These little balls contain a huge helping of condensed oil that once popped into hot water melt creating a beautifully moisturinsing water.
The furze bath oil is a very decorative and natural looking product. Each bath oil available has a slightly different design, the furze bath oil in covered in little bits of what I believe to be elderflower. The top of the product is complete with two or three colourful buds making it look like something you would find in your garden not in a cosmetics shop.
The scent of this product is so delightful and so different from any other scent family lush currently create. The furze scent is a very sweet yet floral aroma. The products features a wonderful array of oils and essences creating the most beautiful mix. I personally pick up quite a hint of coconut from this product which i think must come from the coconut oil it contains.
Once popped into water, this bath oil slowly starts to dissolved and melt. It creates little droplets of oil across the surface of the water, as its array of essential oil and butters melt. I have found that the temperature of the water makes quite a difference with how quick this product melts. I quite like to use it in fairly hot water as I find the scent really evolves with the steam of the water.
The butters contained in this product make it exstremly moisturing. I feel that this product is quite engulent and I love to use it when I want to give my skin that extra little treat. However this product does not much on much of a show, so if you like a product that makes the water all pretty you might want to try pairing this product with a bath bomb.
Overall I love love love this product. I really enjoy the bath oil concept and the fact they have made one in one of my favourite scents have made my day! I will defiantly be picking up some more of these next time I am at Oxford street.
Top Tip- if you don’t like bits floating in you water this might not be the product for you. All the little bits that create the covering will floats across the surface of your water and are way too small and fiddly to remove individually.
