Vanilla Fountain Bath Bomb – Lush Review

Vanilla is a scent that I remember loving ever since I was a child. I use to save up my pocket money and go in to town and buy pretty much any thing vanilla scented, but mainly body spray, which use to drive my mum crazy as she hates the vanilla scent. As I got older my obsession and love for this scent has never faded and it is still my all time favourite scent. So for this reason I am so glad lush have a generous helping of vanilla scented products.

Not surprisingly I have always been a huge fan of the vanilla fountain bath melt. So I was super excited when I found out that lush had created a bath bomb version of this product. Although discontinued quite some time ago, this bath bomb version occasionally makes its appearance on the much loved kitchen part of the lush site.

Scent wise this product smells very much like you would expect, expelling a lovely simple vanilla scent. I do like that lush haven’t tried to over complicate this product by adding all kinds of fancy ingredients and have left it very simple. Containing vanilla, jasmine and tonka absolute with a touch of sandlewood oil, this vanilla scent it very natural and not overly sweet like many high street vanilla scented products.

Once popped in the water this bath bomb is quite a quick fizzer. It doesn’t put on much of a show in the bath, but I personally sometimes really enjoy a product that is simple and more reserved, as I find it a little more relaxing. The bath bomb doesn’t produce much of a foam, but does turn the water a lovely light yellow colour. As the bath bomb dissolved its scent really lingers helped by the vanilla pod which floats accross the water diffusing it scent when mixed with the warm water.

Overall I am really impressed with this product and it is defiantly one of my favourite. It’s scent brings back so many lovely childhood memories, I know I will defiantly be picking up a few more the next time they are available.
