How has Halloween come round so quickly?? I can’t believe how quick this year is going! But I have blinked and October is over.

I love Halloween and I also love the lush Halloween range. There are always some fun and exciting new product and this year has been no exception.

I think I was most excited about the pumpkin spice lip scrub! I’m a huge fan of lip scrubs, they are one of my favourite lush products, and as a lover of all this Halloween, autum and pumpkin spice the idea of a pumpkin spice lip scrub really appealed to me.

Scrubs are such handy products, the idea behind them is to take a small amount on you finger and gently scrub over you lips to remove any dead skin and leave you with super soft lips. My favourite part is the scrubs are completely edible so you can lick the excess of you lips if desired. I always keep a lip scrub in my makeup bag especially at winter time when I get very cracked lips. I then always use one before applying my lipstick to make an easier smoother application, it makes those drying liquid lipstick look so much nicer on the lips.

The scent of the pumpkin spice lip scrub is just lovely. It’s such a cosy scent and really remind me of all things autumn. Containing clove, ginger, cinnamon and pumpkin it has a lovely warm, spice aroma. It really is that generic autumn/winter spice scent.

Taste wise I’m not such a fan, I don’t tend to like the taste of any scrubs with salt in (strange I know) but they make me feel really sick!!! But as I wasn’t planning on sitting with a spoon eating my lip scrub and the fact there is something a little off putting about licking you lips once you have scrubbed all that dry skin off, the taste isn’t really an issue! so I just wipe of the excess scrub and try and avoid tasting it to much.

Overall I’m very impressed as I usually am with lip scrubs, most of my reviews are getting 5 out of 5 at the moment but I’m going to give this a 4 for no other reason than I would prefer lush to stop using salt and put tonnes of sugar in instead!!!!!!
