Soaps are a product from Lush that are slowly starting to grow on me. I always use to find them a little pointless as I much preferred to use a shower gel to wash with and I hated how soaps always left my skin feeling really dry. Because of this I never really gave the Lush soaps a go and tended to walk past them all together when in store.
It is only over the last year that I have started to use the lush soaps more and more and started to realise just how much I was missing out by not using them.
This year (2019) Lush have only released one soap as part of their Valentine’s Day Range. The Strawberry Whip soap has a very cute design, shaped just like a strawberry this soap fits right in with the Valentine’s Range fruity theme.
With the release of several American Cream scented products as part of the range I was expecting the Strawberry Whip soap to share that scent. However this is not the case and the soap has its own fruity scent. Containing plenty of fresh strawberries, geranium and jasmine the strawberry whip soap has a fresh strawberry scent with a slight touch of floral. The scent is very fresh and light and reminds me of a warm spring day. It shares its scent with the much loved Strawberry Twin Tub Shower Jelly, so if you loved that product you are going to love this soap.
The Strawberry Whip soap is extremely moisturising. It contains a whole host of luxurious ingredients such as coconut oil, agar agar and cocoa butter which are all included due to their properties of softening and hydrating the skin.
When using the Strawberry Whip soap I was very happy to see it lathered up very well. I hate a soap that doesn’t sudd up well. The scent was lovely and fresh and lingered on my skin for ages. I also loved how moisturised my skin felt after using this soap! Again one thing that puts me off using soaps it’s the squeaky feeling they can give your skin.
Overall I really enjoyed using this soap, it’s fresh gentle scent is gorgeous and I just love it’s design.
