Open Your Heart Bubble Bar – Lush Review

This years Valentine’s Day Range has featured a few scents that are most commonly found as part of a Christmas range.

The open your heart bubble bra is one such product as it shares its scent with the much loved Golden pear soap. This scent is a stunning spicy and warming scent. Containing cardamon and sandwood it is a lovely rich sensual pear aroma and a scent that I have really started to fall in love with.

I love that this bubble bar or bubble bra as it is named on the Lush website, has taken its inspiration from the iconic singer Madonna. The Open Your Heart bubble bar can be split In half and used over two separate baths. In between the two half’s is a layer of rich creamy butters which make this bubble bar extremely moisturising.

Once used in the water I found myself once again quite disappointed at the lack of bubbles this bar produced. I used one half in my bath and was expecting to see a decent amount of bubbles. My bath however had a small layer of tiny bubbles across the surface that disappeared fairly quickly leaving a murky orange water. I also found this bubble bar extremely hard to crumble into the water. The consistency of a bubble bar is usually fairly soft but the Open Your Heart bubble bar was rock hard.

On a plus side the scent of the Open Your heart bubble bra was lovely in the water and I was able to pick up on its spicy fragrance throughout my bath. I also found the water to feel very silky smooth and my skin was left feeling soft and moisturised.

Overall I really love the scent and design of this bubble bar I just feel that it’s lack of bubbles really did let it down.

I do find myself feeling a bit disappointed with the amount of bubbles some bubble bars create too. I usually don’t like using an entire bar at once, but I still think it should create a rather decent amount of bubbles even if you do that. I do like the sound of this one though, because of the scent and the silky feeling.

I was thinking it might be my water as I’ve just moved house but I’ve seen a few other people mention a lack of bubbles so maybe not!! And totally agree I never use a full bubble bar they cost to much for that!!
