Out of all of this years Valentine’s Day Range that I have tried so far, the Love Token bubble bar is the first product that I’m really not very keen on at all!!
The design of this reusable bubble bar is brilliant. This disc shaped bubble bar is reasonably large in size and is covered in a lot of gold glitter (I like a good helping of glitter on my lush products). If your not so keen on a glittery bath you may want to give this bubble bar a wide birth. The idea behind the bubble bar is also lovely. With the words thank you embossed across the front of the product, this really is a lovely way to show someone special to you just how great-full you are for everything they do.
The scent of the Love Token reusable bubble bar is also incredible. Sharing its scent with the gingerbread massage bar from the 2018 Christmas range this bubble bar has a stunning warm spicy ginger scent. The scent is a very warming and cosy scent and perfect for this time of year when the weather is still rather chilly (here in the uk anyway).
My disliking of the bubble bar occurs when it is used in the water. As the Love Token bubble bar is reusable it is designed so you are able to get several baths out of one bar. To use you simply hold the bar under running water to create bubbles and then let it dry out before using it again for another bath.
I was very disappointed to find that when the Love Token bubble bar was held under the running water it created a very small amount of bubbles. After a while my bar in-fact stopped making bubble all together. The bubbles that had been created also disappeared very quickly.
On the plus side however the water did turn a lovely golden orange colour and felt very silky soft to the touch.
My other disappoint with the bubble bar was once in the water I could not detect any scent what’s so ever. I know sometimes bubble bars are a lot weaker in scent than a bath bomb but with the Love Token I literally could not smell anything.
Overall I really am not a fan of the Love Token Bubble Bar. It’s brilliant design and scent really won me over but once in use I felt this product really didn’t have much to offer at all.
