Hidden Mountain Soap – Lush Review

I have never really been much of a fan of soaps. It’s not that I don’t like them I just don’t tend to find them very exciting and always find myself reaching for a shower gel instead. That was until Lush released this years Christmas range (2017). The vast amount of brand new soaps that they have released is amazing and I have found myself falling totally in love with them.

The first soap that I decided to try out of this years range was the Hidden Mountain soap. The design of this soap is what firstly drew me to it. Dark green in colour this soap looks very mystical and once a slice is cut the hidden middle is revealed. This soap is very beautiful and as always very spectacular when you see the whole soap on display in store.

The scent of the Hidden Mountain soap is quite different to a lot of the other soaps that are released at Christmas time. Containing Ho Wood oil and Labdanum resinoid the ingredients create a wonderful woody musky scent. The scent is very earthy and calming and reminds me of winter walks and woodland fairies (woodland fairies would 100% use this soap).

The shape of this soap makes it very easy to use as it fits perfectly into the palm of your hand. I found the Hidden Mountain soap lathered up very well and the scent is actually pretty strong, which means I was able to pick up on it’s musky scent on my skin for quite a while after I had used it.

Overall I have really enjoyed trying this soap. The scent of the Hidden Mountain soap is not something I would normal go for, but I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I like it.
