Chick ‘n’ Mix Bath Bomb – Lush Review

This year as part of the Easter range I kind of feel like there is a real lack of brand new bath products in comparison to the amount seem in recent Christmas, Mother’s Day and Valentine’s ranges. With this in mind the product that I have been most excited for was the only brand new bath bomb the Chick ‘n’ Mix bath bomb. Designed to look like a little chick, the bath bomb also cracks open to reveal a little mini bath bomb inside. It really is the most perfect looking Easter product.

The design aspect of this bath bomb is super clever. Unlike the Which Came First bath bomb, that has the same idea of cracking the product open to reveal a hidden surprise. The Chick ‘n’ Mix bath bomb all ready comes in separate pieces. This not only saves you the hassle of trying to break open the bath bomb, it also means you can pick which parts you would like to use. If your looking for a super luxurious bath you may wish to use all of it, or you could just use one part which is defiantly enough to create a beautiful bathing experience. The mini hidden bath bomb probably would be a little lost if used on its own, but would be great to use alongside another product.

The scent of the Chick ‘n’ Mix bath bomb is completely different to anything I have tried from Lush before. The scent really reminds me of something, but I can’t quite put my finger on what it is. Containing bergamot and Tonka the Chick ‘n’ Mix bath bomb has a lovely refreshing , sweet scent with a slight zingy twist. I found the scent to also be very rich and warming which added a lovely comforting element. I really love this scent and am keeping my fingers crossed that Lush release some more products with this scent.

Once popped in the water the Chick ‘n’ Mix bath bomb is a fairly quick fizzer. The top section creates a lovely yellow fizz with specks of what I do believe are dark chocolate. The bottom section creates a bright blue fizz, but when mixed together these turn the water a vivid green shade. I decided to keep the little mini bunny bath bomb to use another time and because he looked to cute to use.

I did find that the scent weakened a little once in the water, although it was still strong enough to pick up on. I also found this product to be very luxurious and it made the water feel very soft and silky which I really enjoyed.

Overall I would defiantly buy the Chick ‘n’ Mix Bath Bomb again but mainly due to the scent. I feel it’s a little over priced for how much product you actually get, but it would defiantly make a beautiful alternative to a chocolate Easter egg.
