I am back home which can mean only one thing! Bath time.
Tonight i tried out another one of Lush oxford streets exclusive products, the Cyanide Pill bath bomb. Apply named this bath bomb represents the shape of a pill and is yellow and white in colour. Although i wasn’t initially drawn to this product in the Oxford street store, after walking past it a few times its strange name got the better of me and i purchased it more out of curiosity than anything.
The overall size of this product is a little smaller than some of lush’s other bath products and the smell isnt as strong either. The scent is probably best described as a smokey and musky scent. When this bath bomb hit the water it didnt take long for it to completely dissolve. I guess this is partially due to its size, but also due to how much it fizzed. It was very exciting to watch as it exploded a wonderful green/yellow colour.
Once the bath bomb reached its centre, a dark orange began to show from one end of the bath bomb and a silver lustre from the end. I loved the silver lustre it reminded me of the coating of the shooting star bath melt from the Christmas range. It is meant to in lushs words represent a “mercury” center. The silver didnt actually sink like in most bath bomb but continued to float on the top of the water, a little like an oil slick would. I did find that due to the glitter sticking on the top of the water, that when i got out the tub the glitter had stuck to my body, I personally dont mind this as i love all things sparkly but some people may not be so keen.
When you think this little bath bomb it all over and finished you realize, that the centre of the bath bomb was filled with my favorite ingredient POPPING CANDY. Lush seem to be using this ingredient more and more in their products, and although it is loved my many some are not keen. I thought it added that little bit of excitement to the product and made the experience so much more fun.
overall although this wasn’t a product that i was first drawn to, i am glad i gave it a chance as it created a great bathing experience and hopefully will go into general sale one day.
Top Tip: dont cut this little bath bomb in half, keep it whole to be able to experience all it has in store.
