Butterball Shower Gel – Lush Review

It took me a very very long time to get my hands on a bottle of Butterball shower gel. Every time it was in the Lush Kitchen it pretty much sold out instantly due to its immense popularity and I was never quite quick enough to secure a bottle of my self. So after months and months of trying to get hold of one every time it was available, I eventually managed to get my hands on one of these gold dust bottles and I was very pleased to find that it was every bit as good as everyone had said.

What I love the most about this shower gel is it’s scent. If you have tried the Lush Butterball bath bomb or even the Christmas Butterbear version the shower gel shares the same scent. The Butterball scent is a lovely sweet, cocoa, vanilla mix. Which creates a creamy chocolaty aroma, which literally smells good enough to eat.

The consistency of the Butterball shower gel is very thick and creamy. Although lush have recently changed the formula for their shower gels making them a lot thicker this is still one of the thickest shower gels I have ever tried. The thickness of this shower gel makes it seem a little more like a shower smoothie than a shower gel.

Just like the bath bomb version of this product. The Butterball shower gel contains a large amount of cocoa butter making its mega moisturising. It was so moisturising in fact that I didn’t have to use any body lotion at all. I actually occasionally like to use this shower gel as more of a body conditioner as its consistency and moisturising properties make it feel extra luxurious when used like this.

Overall I really enjoyed this shower gel, I’m defiantly going to try my absolute hardest to get my hands on another bottle of this Butterball shower gel next time it’s in the Lush kitchen
