The flagship lush Oxford street store is the ultimate lush store. Not only does it stock all of the regular products it also has a range of products that are exclusive only to that store. This without a doubt makes this store super exciting to visit. However for the majority of people who do not live close to London or who are not able to travel there very often it can be a little frustrating when brand new products are released exclusively to that store.
The Plum Rain Shower Gel is one of these exclusive to Oxford street products. There is normal a large amount of hype surrounding the release of a new product however this shower gel seemed to just randomly appear on the shelves one day. When I first saw the product on social media I really wanted to get my hands on one, but new I wouldn’t be able to get to London any time soon. Luckily I’m very grateful to have an amazing friend who works in London, who whent out of her way to trek to Oxford street just to pick me up a bottle of this much wanted shower gel and then posted it up to me.
When I received the shower gel in the post I was so excited to try it out. Scent wise I wasn’t really to sure what to exspect from the shower gel but at first snif I was won over by the scent. Featuring umeboshi infusion this is a ingredients that I have not really heard of before. After doing a little research I found that this is a Japanese pickled plum. As well as this rather unusual ingredient the shower gel also contain fresh plum juice. This mix of ingredients gives this shower gel a very fruity plum scent. I was pleased to find the scent wasn’t an artificial sweet fruity scent and although still sweet it was defiantly more of a natural fruity scent.
The consistency of the Plum Rain shower gel is very thick compared to most of the current lush shower gels. I found it to almost have a smooth jam like consistency and soon realised that a little goes a long way with this shower gel as it lathers up particularly well.
Overall I was very impressed with this newly invented lush shower gel and am in love with the scent of it. I really hope that they might create a few more products with this delightful scent and also that the Purple Rain shower gel soon becomes part of the regular lush range in all stores.
