Smuggler’s Soul Facial Scrub – Lush Review

When I heard that lush were bringing out a facial scrub as part of their new Father’s Day range this year, I just couldn’t wait to get my hand on it. I am a huge skincare lover and love trying out and discovering any thing new.

The smugglers soul scent is a reoccurring theme with this years Father’s Day range. With many of the products featuring this scent. Although the smugglers soul scent is available as a perfume, I have never actually tried this scent before. So I was a little dubious as to if I would like the scent or not.

When I first tried this scent in the store I really wasn’t to keen on it. However as I wanted to try this scrub, as I find the current facial scrub lush have to offer a little to harsh. I grabbed my self a pot hoping the scent would grow on me.

Once home I realised that the scent was completely different to how it smelt in store. I often find that with all the amazing and different scents going on in store, everything can get a little overpowering and products often smell completely different when in your own home.

I found the scent of this product to be quite gentle and subtle. Personally I really wouldn’t want a facial product with a strong scent, as once in the face it may be come very overpowering. The smugglers soul scent has hints of sandalwood and lemongrass. Although I don’t think I would like this scent as a strong perfume I really enjoyed this sent in a more lighter and gentle way.

I was really happy to find that this scrub is very fine. I have quite sensitive skin which doesn’t approved to rough scrubs. The scrub contains bamboo stem extract which creates an almost gritty texture. The scrub it’s self is a very natural colour and comes in a a 100g size. A little of this product goes a very long way so I can see this pot lasting me quite some time. I used a bit of scrub about the size of a 20p and found that more than enough to give my face a good scrub. After using this scrub I found my skin had a lovely healthy glow and I could also pick up a slight scent on my skin which I found lovely.

Overall I love this product and really wish lush brought out more facial scrub, as there are a great part of a skincare routine. I would really recommend this product and will defiantly be stocking up while it is still available.
