One of the things that I love about lush is there ability to create some wonderful and unique products. The ladybird bubble bar is a new release this year as part of the mother day range and it is with out a doudt a very cute bath product indeed.
Designed to look like a ladybird this bubble bar defiantly stands out from the crowd. With Spring fast approaching aswell the ladybird bubble bar is defiantly in keeping with the season and will be bound to put a smile on anyone’s face who is lucky enough to receive one of these as a gift this Mother’s Day.
The ladybird bubble bar is a very brightly coloured bubble bar, featuring a vivid red and purple design. I love the design of this product so much that I almost wanted to keep it just for decoration and not actually use it.
As well as being a new product, this product also features a scent that is also brand new to lush. I wasn’t really sure what scent this little bug would be at first, due to its bright colours. I thought it might have been a fruity scent. It turns out that the scent of the ladybird is a very intriguing, it has a very minty scent but with a slight sweet twist and a little fruity element thrown in there for good measure. To me the scent slightly reminds me of bubblegum crossed with the pear drops.
When I finally could bring myself to using this cute little bug, I found that is defiantly wasn’t the easiest of bubble bars to crumble (so be careful you don’t end up dropping him whole in the water). I actually chopped this little guy in half and saved one half for later, but I think you could make this bubble bar stretch to three baths rather than two.
As soon as this bubble bar hit water it created mountains of white fluffy bubbles and turned the water a beautiful pinky red colour. I was quite surprised with how moisturising this bubble bar was and it left my skin super silky and soft.
Overall I was very impressed with this product. I totally adored the design and I really enjoyed trying the new scent that lush had created for this product. If you haven’t had chance to try this little guy yet I really recommend that you try and get your hands in one while it is still about.
