I just love shower jellies! I think they are facinating and such an unique concept. Shower jellies where one of my first every products that I tried from lush and since then I have been hooked. So it’s know surprise that I was super excited to see there was a brand new jelly making an appearance as part of the Easter range this year.
However I was a little apprehensive as the last few seasonally jellies have been a little disappointing for me and I really didn’t want this jelly to end up the same.
The Bouncy Bunny shower jelly is a little different to the average jelly. This Easter themed jelly is moulded in to a novelty shape. This jelly is shaped like a cute little rabbit, I think it might be exactly the same design as the Spring bunny bath bomb! I really like when lush make there shower jellies shaped, as the shape adds that extra bit of fun to the product and makes it a little more special.
From the colour of this product, which is a a quite neutral milky beige colour. Decorated with slightly darker more oily looking patches. I thought the product was maybe going to be a toffee or caramel scent. So I was quite surprised to find that the scent is in fact a more of a citrus scent. One of the ingredients of the jelly is Brazilian organ oil, which I found gave this product a slightly sweet orange scent. However the scent of this product is very subtle and defiantly not a scent that will last a long time on the skin. I do actually rather like this subtle scent as it makes a change to have a product that is slightly lighter and fresher in scent, than the stronger scents lush tend to produce. I also feel that this jelly will be perfect for the warmer Spring weather as it will become rather refreshing on the senses.
There are so many ways in which a shower jelly can be used and I love hearing of all the different ways people use there’s! I personally like to keep my jelly in one piece and use it straight out the tub. but I know many people like to cut there’s up into like portions or even use it as bubble bath! How do you use your shower jelly?
I found the texture of this shower jelly a little more oily and slippy compared to some of the other jellies that lush have. I don’t know if this is due to ingredients, or due to how it’s shaped! However the texture is not unpleasant, it just means it tends to get dropped a little more than normal.
Overall I love this jelly, I feel it’s scent is a refreshing change to some of the stronger overpowering scents that lush produce and I am really looking forward to using this product when the weather warms up! I also think it’s cute novel design makes this product perfect for children and as an alternative to Easter eggs as gifts.
