There are so many exciting products being released by Lush at the moment I’m struggling to decide which product to try and review first. However when I saw that The Magic Crystal shower scrub was being released I just couldn’t wait to try it out. I love bath bombs and bubble bars but my favourite products are always the not so obvious products such as scrubs and shower gels. As I am currently working on the Cruise ship I new that if I couldn’t pick a tub up the day it was released it would be a good 3 weeks before I would be able to get my hands on any so I managed to make a made dash to Lush Southampton before boarding the ship and secure myself a pot to try out.
The Magic Crystal shower scrub is an amazing vivid purple colour, but the most exciting part of this scrub is it’s scent. Containing warming aniseed oil, fresh rosemary and sage and a good helping my of peppermint and spearmint oils the Magic Crystals shower scrub has a wonderful minty yet slightly herbal and earthy scent. It really remind me of the scent of Mask of Magnaminy but with a little bit more of a earthy element to it. This scent is just perfect for a shower scrub especially if using it in the morning as it provided a refreshing effect that makes you feel really alert and ready for the day. Just like the Christingle body conditioner this scrub has a lot of menthol which provides a slight cooling tingle which helps to add to the refreshing element to this scrub.
The exfoliating particles in the scrub are made from fine sea salt and Epsom crystals this means that they provide a good scrub but are not to harsh. I also really loved that this scrub does not leave you feeling oily like a lot of scrubs do. It also works very well as an exfoliating wash as the scrub lathers up extremely well.
Overall I really love this scrub!!!! It is defiantly now one of my all time favourite products from lush and I can see myself buying this over and over again. If you are going to try one product this year make sure you check this shower scrub out you really won’t regret it.
