Fairly Traded Honey Shampoo – Lush Review

It’s been quite some time since I have reviewed a Lush hair care product. If you read my blog regularly you will know I have been on a mission to find my perfect haircare products from Lush. The main reason I haven’t done a haircare review in a while is because this bottle of Fairly Traded Honey shampoo has lasted me forever!!! I couldn’t get over how long it has taken me to get through the bottle.

Although I have really enjoyed using this shampoo and it works very well, I wasn’t really won over by its scent. The main ingredient in this shampoo is honey so I was kind of expecting it to have a much more sweet scent. However the scent is quite strange and not one I’m really a fan of. It has quite a floral scent as the shampoo also contains of a lot of floral essential oils and beeswax but I also found the scent to be a little bitter. I wouldn’t say it’s an awful scent it’s just not one that I am a fan of, however if you love your floral scents I am sure you will enjoy this one.

As I mentioned earlier this bottle lasted for ages. A little really does go a long way with this shampoo making it great value for money. I found I only needed a small amount to create a very good lather in my hair. I have quite long hair so sometimes require quite a good helping of shampoo but not with this one. The Fairly Traded Honey shampoo is great for adding moisture and shine to your hair due to the large amount of honey it contains. I did find after using this shampoo that my hair did feel very moisturised which is great as I struggle with very damaged and dry hair.

Overall I was quite impressed with this shampoo, if I had liked the scent a little more I would have given I a 5/5 but other than the scent it’s a wonderful product.
